Sunday September 19th.
The day started with rain, but the sun eventually shone for Epwell’s first event for many years. It was initiated by Chris Woodcock who, along with his band of merry helpers, put together a day that will be long remembered. From raffle to paella, duck racing to dog showing, there was something for everyone. Hooky brass band played, tea and cakes were consumed, along with the odd pint of beer, and a good time was had by all.
After the restrictions of Covid it was lovely to see people out and about. Many many thanks to all involved with setting up, running stalls and then clearing up at the end of the day and also to people who donated generous prizes for the raffle. Over a thousand pounds was raised for village organisations which was a great result.
