Village Hall

The Village Hall is the former school building located in the centre of the village and has a seating capacity of 60. It is available for use by village organisations and for public hire; please email with any request for hiring the hall.  The hall is well maintained and the committee raised funds for, and then arranged the installation of a modern, highly efficient heating system in early 2016.

The committee sees its principal role as providing good facilities for local organisations and individuals to use, rather than being the organiser of regular events in the hall. Local organisations and villagers are encouraged to come forward with ideas for events. The hall committee will  encourage the establishment and growth of any new group who wish to use the hall on a regular basis.

The Committee has a responsibility to manage its funds in the interest of the local community.  The Committee, under the terms of its trust,  is able to give financial assistance to other village groups .  The largest annual fund raising event in the village, the Village Fête is organised by the Village Hall Committee.  Epwell Village Hall is the only registered Charity based in Epwell and it is required to submit a summary of its annual accounts to the Charity Commission.
